McKinley parents, if your child is registered for summer school, this is your reminder that it starts tomorrow, Tues., June 6. The first session is at 8:30 and the second at 10:30. The Watertown School District will be conducting an emergency planning drill on Tuesday, May 30th in the morning from 8 AM – 12 PM. The district offices will be closed for the morning to the public. The public is asked to avoid the area of the high school as much as possible during these hours, as an influx of emergency responders will be present. We appreciate the cooperation of law enforcement and other first responders to assist the school district in it’s safety planning.

The Watertown Chamber will be hosting a candidate forum on Tuesday, May 30 at 6:00 PM in the DD Miller Auditorium at Watertown High School. Candidates for school board and city council will be present for this forum.

Tomorrow is the last day of school. We have enjoyed this past year with your children! Students are dismissed at 12:20. Please make sure they know their after school plans.


Family Fun Night was held last week. We had crafts, dancing, petting zoo, ice cream and books! Thanks for joining us Colt Nation!


Girls on the Run had a successful Community Impact night last week as well as their grand finale Buffalo Wild Wings 5k! Way to go GOTR!



Fourth grade went to DeSmet today. It was a great day of learning and fun!

The public is invited to an Open House celebrating the 2023 retirees from the Watertown School District from 3:45-5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17th in the Watertown High School Commons.

Meet us at the bike racks on the south end of the building today after school for bike safety and inspections.


3rd and 4th grade went bowling at Tommy's Lanes as a reward for working so hard on testing! Way to go!



2nd grade did a writing assignment "If you could invent an ice cream flavor..." Today Zesto brought ice cream to help them try to create their inventions!
