NEGOTIATED CONTRACTS

Master Contract for Certified Employees

The Master Contract for certified employees is a contract between the Watertown Education Association and the School Board of the Watertown School District. The Watertown School Board has a statutory obligation pursuant to SDCL 3-18 to negotiate with the WEA as the sole and exclusive representative of its certified teaching personnel. Administrators are not covered under the provisions of the Master Contract except as specifically included in Board policy. The parties, having reached certain understandings which they desire to confirm, agree on the Certified Master Contract (see contract in download folders).

Classified Contract for various Classified Employee Groups

The Classified Contract is a contract between the classified groups of Clerical personnel (general assistants, office assistants, administrative assistants, executive assistants, benefits coordinator and registrar) and Paraprofessionals (library aides, audio-visual technician and classroom aides) and the School Board of the Watertown School District. By Board action, the School Board recognizes WEA as the negotiating representative for the Classified Contract. The parties, having reached certain understandings which they desire to confirm, agree to the following classified contract (see the download folder below). Other classified groups not identified above are not covered by the Classified Contract and contract type information for the non-represented groups is outlined in the classified handbook and Board policy.
